JILL BAYOR was born in New York and graduated from Harvard University, studying painting and mixed media at The Art Students League of New York under abstract painters Bruce Dorfman and William Scharf.   She had her first solo show at Caelum Gallery (West 26th St, NYC), with a second West Coast solo exhibition at Fontaine Gallery (Los Angeles), and has also participated in numerous group shows throughout the US.  Bayor is participating in this year's Venice Biennale as part of the European Cultural Centre's pavilion at Palazzo Mora titled, "Personal Structures" April 20 - Nov 24, 2024.  Working in large-scale installation, sculpture and painting, the artist currently divides her time between New York and L.A.
